How much does and appraisal cost? $125 per item or $150 for colored stone items

How long do appraisals take? Appointments typically take about 30 minutes

Can I have an appraisal done at ether store location? Yes! Appointments are available Monday – Friday. Appointments in Alpharetta are available on Tuesdays  and Wednesdays or by request.

Can I drop my items off for appraisals? Yes, you can drop items off items for appraisals. Turn around time is about 48 hours for items dropped off.

Why do you need an appraisal? The most common reason you made need an appraisal is for insurance purposes. Appraisals can also be helpful when it comes to estate planning, deciding to resell a piece, and deciding to redo or update a piece of jewelry.

Who does the appraisal? Appraisals are done by a certified gemologist.

What should I bring to an appraisal appointment? Bring any of the items you’d like to have an appraisal for along with any previous paperwork including GIA or other grading certificates, previous appraisals, receipts of purchase. If your items are from Solomon Brothers Jewelers, we will have your receipts or old appraisals on file.
